چکیده
This paper aims to describe an intraoral scanning protocol for indirect restorations utilizing dental dam isolation. technique consists of the initial scan both arches and their occlusion. Then, after necessary preparation is performed under isolation with a dam, preparations performed, maintaining in place. The proposed shortens operative time minimizing clinical factors that can affect accuracy maximizing margins' visibility, ensuring stress-free environment. method be applied chair-side dentistry conventional workflow sending scans laboratory technician.

Rubber dam isolation for restorative treatment in dental patients.
BACKGROUND Successful restorations in dental patients depend largely on the effective control of moisture and microbes during the procedure. The rubber dam technique has been one of the most widely used isolation methods in dental restorative treatments. The evidence on the effects of rubber dam usage on the longevity of dental restorations is conflicting. Therefore, it is important to summaris...
متن کاملA Technique for Registration and Reorientation of Surveyed Dental Casts
Precise registering and transferring of the selected path of insertion and withdrawal of removable, partial dentures is a critical step in designing and fabricating their framework and determining the retention, stability, and support of the completed prosthesis. Many authors have addressed this issue in their studies. In this study we present a new technique for registering and reproducing par...

Currently, the gold standard for dental imaging is projection radiography or cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). These methods are fast and cost-efficient, but exhibit poor soft tissue contrast and expose the patient to ionizing radiation (X-rays). The need for an alternative imaging modality e.g. for soft tissue management has stimulated a rising interest in dental magnetic resonance imaging...

Dental calculus, a type of stone formed even under normal conditions, plays an important role in some periodontal diseases. Deposition of dental calculus follows plaque formation, and the variations in the degree of calcification reflect the changes in environment and form of its lamellar structure[1]. Dental plaque is composed of rods, cocci and filamentous bacteria[2], and these morphological...
متن کاملIntraoral transmission of Streptococcus mutans by a dental explorer.
A streptomycin-resistant strain of S. mutans was introduced into the mouth as adherent growth on an artificial fissure (AF). A second AF, which was initially sterile, was placed in a crown on the opposite side of the dentition. The labeled strain was not found in 8 initially-sterile AFs which were left in vivo for 2 to 6 days and were not examined with a dental explorer. The labeled strain was ...
